The race kicks off at HomeTrust Park, home of Asheville’s favorite hometown baseball atmosphere, before sending runners on a scenic route into the heart of Asheville.

From the start, you’ll cruise through lively streets, pass local landmarks, and soak in the energy of downtown’s shops, murals, and mountain-town charm. Whether you’re chasing a PR or enjoying a fun run with friends, the course offers the perfect mix of challenge and celebration.

But the real magic happens at the finish—runners will re-enter HomeTrust Park and cross the line on the warning track, just like the pros. Feel the excitement of a stadium finish as spectators cheer you on from the stands, making your final strides unforgettable.

Race Bib and Official Timing

Race bibs and official chip timing are included with registration, with results professionally managed by Right on Time Race Productions. The course is USAT&F certified, ensuring an accurate, competitive, and professionally measured 5K experience.

Downtown Diamond Dash 5k T-Shirt

All participants in this inaugural event will have the opportunity to receive an official Downtown Diamond Dash race t-shirt. Shirts will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis at registration check-in, with available sizes including S, M, L, XL, and 2XL—so be sure to arrive early to secure your preferred fit.

Complimentary Post-Race Beverage

Celebrate your finish at the Downtown Diamond Dash with a complimentary post-race craft beer. Each registered runner will receive one complimentary beer (21+) or choice Powerade upon crossing the finish line, giving you the perfect way to toast your accomplishment!

Ballpark Atmosphere

Soak in the ballpark atmosphere at HomeTrust Park after your run, where racers and spectators can relax in the seating bowl and cheer on incoming finishers. Enjoy select concessions and additional race day activities, making it a fun and festive experience both on and off the course.
